Cheetahs

Between Tanzania and Kenya, I was lucky enough to track down some beautiful Cheetahs, some from a great distance, some much closer (thanks to the very knowledgably guide I travelled with).

It took 4 million years of evolution for the cheetah to become the exceptional animal it is today, and only 100 years for man to place it on the endangered list. The fastest land animal in the world is losing its most important race: the race for survival. There used to be an estimated 100,000 cheetahs that were living throughout Africa, and in parts of the Middle East and Central Asia. Today there are only about 7,100 of these majestic cats left in the wild. Let’s do our part to protect and to keep them from becoming extinct.

Here’s some interesting info on these beautiful cats.
